Raven Flock potential issue + Minion keystone

The second I saw it revealed I said this is my next build.

Amazing looking skill
Love that uniques are becoming build defining
Love the command skill being tied to it

Howver one small issue.

Its on a staff.

May be premature as I dont know what runes and changes are coming to minions. So only time will tell.

But right now scepters and skill levels are like 60+% of the minions damage in terms of scaling since we lack damage scaling for them.

With the potential nerf to + levels and the fact you cant use a scepter in the offhand with a staff this will make this skill basically d or c tier as a minion skill or build as far as I can tell. Unless the base damage of the Ravens is insanely high.

Currently we have giants blood which lets you do two hand with shield

The druid keystone with talisman and focus or whatever
and the instruments of power ascendancy node that lets you use staff and focus but 50% reduced bonus.

I get the need to balance the power of focus with a staff as a lot of "player" power comes from focus.

But we have nothing that lets us use a staff and scepter.

Scepters are typically a minion focused item, hence the mod pool. With a few exceptions.

Im making a case that we need a pure minion focused keystone that lets us weild a staff and scepter and the downside should be the player does less damage not the minion.

I dont claim to know every potential outcome for this new skill but currently it doesnt look promising, could definitely be missing some interaction though.

They added minion ring mods with breach that I expect so help cover this gap. I assume not having a scepter is why the minion reservation scepter is a high add it is.

Yea its definitely hard to tell not knowing what new mods are coming, what the base damage is, if they are adding any other sources of flat damage for minions etc

there will definitely be more options than if it were released right now.

But not wearing a scepter and missing out on + levels as well as all the minion mods we currently cant find anywhere else, makes me think this is going to be bait.

The reservation is cool but when your minions do 10dmg its not going to matter lol
