EARLY ACCESS KEY INVALIDATED BEFORE USE

My friend gifted me an early access key code for POE2 which he himself got multiple of from buying a Liberator of Wraeclast Supporter Pack. When he was sharing the code to me the status of the key was showing "Used: False".

However once I entered the code on my redeem key page the key is showing to be invalid. I checked with my friend and he told me that his key status was now showing "Used: True". I did not get access to POE2.

We both sent an email to GGG Support to which I specifically got a reply that me not being the one to purchase the actual code cannot proceed further into the issue as they cannot help anyone who have acquired early access through third party sources. They also said such codes obtained through third party may have their validation revoked and only the original purchaser may seek support for them.

So my friend is now contacting them and here I am waiting for if the issue gets resolved. Any thoughts on this? Anyone experienced the same issue?
