Suggestion: Add an Endless Tower Challenge Mode to PoE 2
|
The current endgame content in Path of Exile 2 is far too easy and lacks sufficient challenge, no matter which class players choose to play.
I believe many players feel the same way: builds reach full completion far too quickly, leaving us with nothing meaningful to do but wait for the next patch. We need a customizable difficulty challenge mode, for example, introducing an Endless Tower Challenge. 1、The Tower should be positioned as the ultimate endgame content. All other gameplay serves only to collect resources and optimize players' builds, preparing them for faster, higher, and more powerful challenges within the Tower. 2、The difficulty of each tower floor should increase significantly. It should feature numerous bosses and elite monsters, with all kinds of brutal monster affixes and diverse terrain designs, similar to modded hardcore versions of classic arcade games. 3、All rewards of the Endless Tower should be settled in one-time payout with no item drops during the run. This allows players to focus on immersive challenge and builds anticipation for the final reward, and GGG can balance the reward output appropriately. I believe adding an in-game Tower leaderboard is much more valuable than other leaderboards. It should record both the challenge time and the highest floor reached. Built into the game, it allows players to reference and learn from the build ideas of top players. Last bumped on May 12, 2026, 2:01:39 PM

thats one of the types of content that helped ruin world of warcraft and d4.

I might not be fully aware of all the discussions, but I sincerely hope they will increase the game's difficulty.

" The new tower leaderboard is arguably the only reason d4 can get any sort of meaningful endgame past 2 days of new season Also, poe has tower. It's called delve |

I think Ritual is gonna have a way to juice the difficulty. I assume the other League Mechanics will have something for that as well.
Towers are very overdue for a rework and are part of the Endgame, so hopefully there's a surprise there for 0.5. Don't get lost by being so focused on the target that you forget to enjoy your surroundings.

" Delve is a complete side quest. Not "Ultimate Endgame Content" like the op is implying it should be. In wow you had to do the tower for legendaries, if you tied something you were forced to do to it, its bad. |
|
" I mean, I'm not the op but "Ultimate Endgame Content" is probably just figure of speech With the 0.5 rework we will have every endgame mechanic giving something specific and the idea is that players should target them for a niche in the market, like breach rings/amulets/belts I can't see why *if* a tower/delve was implemented, you wouldn't be able to trade for the stuff dropped there. So delve would probably be as mandatory as any other mechanic really |
