The Gem Stash Tab needs better Support Gem organising

So obviously I don't want this to delay the seamless MKB/Controller switch :P but the Gem Stash tab is not pleasant to use at all in it's current state. I would contrast this with stuff like the currency, socketable and essence tabs, which basically solve their respective problems.

First off there is the very low 500 skill gem limit. I have filled it up within a few weeks of every league and that sucks. but that's not the main thing I want to talk about.

The issue is primarily with supports. The gem stash tab is clearly designed around sorting skill gems into tiers but it does almost nothing for supports.

It is weird because supports are the type of gem you are way more likely to want to stash and retrieve later. Supports all get dumped into T1 (right at the bottom) into one nasty bucket. They aren't even in their own bucket, they get to share T1 with supports of all tiers, T1 skill gems and uncut T1s and uncut supports.

I believe supports should have some level of soft Red / Blue / Green organisation/ordering. I should also be able to organise them by tiers - so that I can start by looking at my T5 blues, then my T4s and then realise damn I don't have magnify area 2, I'll have to go for a nasty magnify area 1 for the time being.

It is kind of a much more rare scenario that I retrieve/reuse a skill gem that I previously stashed but that seems to be what the whole tab is designed around. Like okay, maybe I do have a level 19 gem with additional sockets and quality which I will definitely want to find when I return to that skill. But I can assure you that I don't have 40 of them. Generally speaking when you need a skill gem you end up grabbing an uncut gem at the relevant tier and cutting it, or grabbing the skill gem from a lower tier and then elevating it to your current tier using an uncut skill gem.

Anyway, rant over. I hate the skill gem tab. It sucks. And I hate that because I use it constantly. Way more than the essences tab.

I frequently end up having to do a dance of cutting a support gem to open the support gem screen, finding the support I want, searching the gem tab, realising it's not there, reopening the support gem screen to cut it. It is not pleasant.

the whole support gem tier system is a huge mess, you remove a low tier support gem to put a higher one, so now you have 2 copies of the same type of gem in your inventory, the UX is just so bad for no real reason

The "show all support gems" is also awful to navigate on controller because gems usually have too many variants, the only difference usually being 5% increased something

I hope this gets fixed with 1.0 but ggg isn't good with this sort of thing tbh, misalignment or confusing UI elements, color inconsistences, etc
Great feedback. Gem Stash Tab/Gemcutting definitely needs a bit of QoL.

I want a UI Toggle in Settings to enable me to upgrade my existing Support Gem into a higher level one if I want to save the space.
If I'm in my Stash (or near my Stash) and I'm looking at the Gemcutting screen for Support Gems, I want the option (another UI Toggle?) to grab from my Stash instead of cutting a duplicate because I didn't realize I already had one.
Don't get lost by being so focused on the target that you forget to enjoy your surroundings.
