Adding Resist Swapping

Personally the most unfun part of gearing is juggling resists on gear. I understand runes were added to help balance out resists, and that is still helpful for early game gearing, but mid/late game it feels terrible using rune slots for resists especially when new and interesting runes keep being added. The only other option right now is to completely replace (sometimes multiple) items that you would otherwise keep just to balance out resistances. That's a lot of time and effort spent on something tedious when we could be playing the game.
I'm not suggesting we copy harvest crafting, turn the game into PoE 1.5, or any of that other zealot nonsense that we see on this forum. It's just that every time I get excited to play a new PoE 2 league it gets diminished quite a bit knowing I will have to deal with balancing resists again when you have already developed a solution to it. Plus I think the new crafting systems being added this patch could be a perfect opportunity to add this mechanic to PoE 2. Last bumped on May 22, 2026, 3:40:59 PM
