Rolling forces a sprint even on tap and then cant roll until I pause the game

Anytime I press space it rolls and then forces the sprint, after I either hit something or use an attack to stop the sprint i cant roll anymore unless I pause the game and then after it will allow me to roll and then force me into sprint again. Its possible its a windows sticky key issue or something I guess but I've never, and still don't, have any issues with anything else.
I just returned after a long break, the first 2-3 seasons, and so i don't know the sprint mechanic but I couldn't find a forum or settings that fixes this.
Also its kind of tedious that I cant just have 2 different bindings for this.
