EU SERVERS AS ALWAYS

Every time I try to play PoE 2, it’s always the same story.

Lag spikes up to 5k ms or more every few seconds, and this has been going on for 2 days now. It’s literally impossible to play. The lag is random, and once it starts, it lasts for a whole day or even longer.

There are also constant mini-lags jumping to 200–300 ms. Those usually disappear after an hour or so, but these huge lag spikes can last for days. No matter which EU server I try, it’s exactly the same on every single one. My ping jumps from 30 ms to 5k ms nonstop. Sometimes it gets slightly better or worse, but the game is completely unplayable.

This is not an issue on my side. It has been happening in PoE 1 and especially PoE 2 for years, and only with these games. I never have problems like this in any other game.

What’s strange is that some EU players say everything works fine for them, while others have the exact same issue. This really needs to be investigated already.

If anyone wants to help figure this out, please post your country and whether you have these lag issues or not. And if someone from GGG sees this, please let us know if we should submit a ticket somewhere so the issue can be tracked down properly.

connection in PoE2: Very unstable.
Download speed: 500 Mbps
Upload speed: 60 Mbps

Same thing for me in Croatia, what's worse is I get random disconnects, no lag spikes no nothing it just freezes, disconnects or even shuts down, then I switch servers for a bit, it works fine, then poof out of the blue, again.
I do swap to servers outside of the EU eventually and then it works fine, but the MS is crazy then

All non-EU servers work normaly, but than you play on constant 200ms or more,wich is again unplayable.
Yes these huge lag spikes (on EU) are in most cases followed by disconnects, non responsive servers, when trying to reconnect.

I did very extensive testing today and the issue does NOT appear to be caused by:

Internet speed/bandwidth
Background downloads
General ISP instability or constant packet loss
Bufferbloat under load
Router overload
Faulty LAN driver
General network instability (tested in other games or applications aswell, they work fine)

At this point, the remaining likely causes are:

Path of Exile 2 instance/server instability
Routing/path issue specific to PoE2 traffic
Intermittent upstream transit instability between ISP and PoE infrastructure
