Background: I haven't played PoE1. So, I'm okey with a PoE 1.5 rather than PoE 2, as it's still new to me. In this regard, either one-button clear in PoE 1 or intional gameplay as in the "vision" of 0.1 are fine for me.
The problem right now is that characters and monsters are not playing the same game. Monsters are so fast, and there're league mechanics like breach that require you to kill monsters as FAST as possible. But at the same time, characters are still slow as in an intional action game, doing complex combos. (I'm talking about most builds, like when you randomly choose a main skill and an ascendancy, not the few broken builds.) Last bumped on May 10, 2026, 1:43:24 PM

What do you mean by "complex combos" ?
To me that sounds like an exaggeration but I see a lot of people make it. During combat situations like breach I think there are mostly 2 types of builds: Ones that can mostly spam one skill to kill monsters: -Lightning arrow ranger -Lightning spear And then the "bread and butter" type build that I feel is most representative of how skills are designed. These involve two skills to clear monsters: -Leap slam + boneshatter -Permafrost rounds + Fragmentation rounds -Essence drain + contagion just to name a few sometimes you might want to weave in another skill like a warcry but I still wouldnt call these "complex combos", so I dont understand what the issue is ? Even in something like breach I personally havent had a problem. |
