Exploit Weakness and AoE Attack (multiple instance of unmitigated damage possible for one attack ?)

Hi,

I always assumed that an attack that hits multiple targets, always applied the same amount of unmitigated damages.

And that was why the debuffs (Shocked, Withered, Fully Break Armor effect, Intimidate, etc.) applied to the damage taken by the enemies (after they mitigated the damage) so that the game does not have to calculate multiple instance of unmitigated damage amounts depending on the enemies present in the area of effect of the attack

But, it seems possible given that Exploit Weakness Support has the effect: "Supported Skills Consume Enemy Fully Broken Armour to deal 40% more Damage", Unless it's just a wording error?

It surprises me that this can apply to unmitigated damage, given what it implies for AoE attacks (having to calculate multiple instances of unmitigated damage for a single attack). Perhaps you are aware of other similar cases in the game? And that this is not a unique case?

Partially broken armor has different magnitudes per target, removing flat amounts of armor, meaning partial break bonus can only apply during "taken damage" calculation side. While "fully broken armor" is a binary status without magnitude, its either present (and sets armor to 0), or not.

Thus it may be logical to apply 40% bonus on the "outgoing damage" calculation side. Logic would be "if at least one enemy has fully broken armor, remove this debuff and apply 40% more outgoing damage to all targets this cast, even those without broken armor". As far as we know GGG wording conventions, this is how it should work. "deal more damage", not "enemy takes more damage".

Doubt anyone can know for certain though , wait for answer from Mark_GGG.

Ah yes, it seems obvious now that you mention it, that must be it indeed. Thank you so much!

That said, confirmation is always welcome! :p
