A little bit of Monica in my life...

Hey there, this is kinda rambley and all over the place (little bit of everything), I'm sorry for that.

So, we finally receieved the long waited end game rework.
I know people will still complain about some stuff that we'll get to later.
For now, what we've all seen in the livestream, this league is looking good, more content, better atlas, more bosses, more loot (hopefully useful now).
I get that people are kinda annoyed with the crafting, new currencies and whatnot, I get it, even for someone like me it's too much too fast, but we'll understand it with time.
What kinda bothers me the most is that people are complaining about the fact we have no new classes and no swords (why?).
The devs did say that 0.5 will be focused on the whole end game rework right? They delivered on that, and it's good, even if some stuff, like the breach tree was ported from PoE1.

I see that the combat didn't get much of a rework, which okay, they have time, they did say there will be some work done prior to 1.0.
So we might see some improvement to it at some point (I hope so).
I understand people want more meaningful combat (I don't fully understand what they mean by it, feel free to tell me), I understand people want combo's for fights too.
On the side of combo's, I don't really see the point, at least not in the end game, clicking 10 buttons to drain the boss's hp by like 20%?
Combo's are good, I know that it looks flashy it feels amazing to play, but I doubt it will be viable before they really adress it and rework it all.
People pump all they can into a single skill, sometimes 2 skills to ensure they can do massive damage to mobs and bosses, so combo plays can't be fully achieved.
When it comes to one button play styles, I understand why people like them, come home from work, boot up the game, click, kill, clear, go again.
Simple, effective, great for farming. Which I think it should be, great for farming.
One button builds, for me at least should be mostly viable for farming breach and that sort of stuff, having a separate build for bossing of course.
This would also make group play better, as you would have like 2 maybe 3 (depending on the boss killer's power) players that would clear mobs, do the farming, the other ones focus the elites and bosses.
Kinda balanced I guess.
But that's a whole other can of worms that I'm not trying to get into.

I will say we need more meaningful combat in some way..
People seem to have issues with the pacing of the game at some point.
If it's too fast and you out DPS everything "What is this slop? This shouldn't be this fast and easy"
If you're too slow and weak "Yeah, whatever, F this I'm going back to D4/LE/Whatever"

Crafting is also a bit...Weird I guess?
RNG for crafting is terrible, we can't say it's not.
I do see why people hate crafting and just try to farm up and buy items instead (which inflates the market in a way).
I mean, the whole orb, annul, orb, annul, orb, annul until you hit the 2 stats you want before trying to craft up, just for it to give some random stat like "Stat Requirement" is just annoying.
The drops you get from campaign and from mapping are also terrible most of the time.
The drops should be meaningful for progression, to get to a point where you can farm enough currency and all to craft up the "Uber end game weapon" of choice.
Vendors shouldn't hold all that "power" (I guess that would be the right word to use) in campaign and near the end.

For armour, es, evasion.
It all feels underwhelming, ES is king there is no question about it.
There should see about a rework on these.
Speaking from personal experience of 0.4, I played multiple characters, one of 'em being a werewolf druid, where I tried a mix of Armour/ES, ES only and Armour only.
With being a mostly Strength user on that build, Armour/ES was the best out of em all.
Pure ES was a good contender, it worked quite well.
Pure Armour however was TERRIBLE to use.
And I understand, certain defense types work against certain attack types.
But having to take ES at all times (even when you're not a caster) feels bad imo.
Not gonna go deeper into it, I know someone else might and I'd like to read up more.

Optimization..Oh boy..
Whenever this is mentioned I cringe a bit.
They talked about it, they say they're working on it, but day in day out it feels like it only gets worse.
Feel free to continue on this topic.

Swords, Axes (items in general).
This is a hot topic isn't it?
I understand the Melee players on the forum and their frustrations with not having their "poker"..
The issue now is that you all complain about the lack of these items, lack of skills and supports for them, which of course everyone understands.
But you can't really complain and say stuff like "Seriously? No Sword? No Axe? No X/Y item? What is this League?", when they did say what this league will bring.
Just because you've seen a sword or axe or some random bloke in the teasers doesn't mean we're getting them, or any class.
Relax, in due time it will come, I highly doubt they'll release 1.0 without testing these things first.
We have so many items right now right? All released prior to the 1.0 patch (duh), and they did say they will be working on updates during 0.5.
I would almost bet that they will give us everything (item wise) before the official release.
I'd say I can bet on it, but due to me not caring about the things mentioned I won't.

As for classes...
I know people want more classes, that some are tired of what we have so far.
So, you're telling me that when all classes come out you'll be satisfied? I don't believe you.
So let them work on what we're still missing in the game.
We received 2 new ascensions, they already know what they're dealing with on the side of the 2 of the ones released, so that's easy to work on.
Making a new class and working on the whole ascension, itemization, skills, it takes time, not to mention that I personally don't think it will be that much similar to PoE1.

I'm hoping for major changes in the following months, I hope they give us what we all need and want..
And I hope that the 1.0 release gives us a passive tree rework, especially due to those pesky travel nodes.

But uhm, yeah, these are just some things that I managed to think of.
Feel free to continue, to discuss of course.
If I missed anything important, if you think I'm wrong, tell me, write your opinions too...

Again, sorry for the "longer" post, thank you :)
