Mobs pushing character feels like network lag
|
I don't think the experiment of mobs pushing player characters has worked out very well from the feel of character movement. It removes the fluid movement of the character, often seeming like network lag (stuttering or bouncing or rubber-banding depending on the mobs involved). The janky movement adds frustration when trying to control your character. Please remove this "feature".
Characters moving mobs doesn't have this feel. (For reference, I have 9-13 ms latency to the Texas servers.) NOTE: I don't know if this the same problem or not, but when I was playing druid, getting pushed as a bear and it didn't have a space for the model, it teleported him across the screen in multiple scenarios (I've only had egregious teleportation happen to bear form). Yeah, and do something about us getting not being able to go through a doorway that's blocked by another person/enemy and our path being blocked by rocks or ledges too. We should be ethereal beings whose movement is unhindered by stupid mundanities like things being in our way.
