Why the Gladiator pic and sword in teaser?

I don't understand, it must be something happened.

Because previously the Gladiator pic showed on X,

and sword showed in teaser in a close shot,

but nothing in content reveal.

I vaguely recall the pic on X saying "Not this time" or something along those lines. Probably because on the hype this sword on the teaser brought. Personally, this hype came a bit of nowhere and I was 90% sure it wouldn't happen. Still had hope but yeah, not surprised either.
