POE2 26.5.1 radeon drivers crash with vulcan

my system spec is as follows

amd 7800x3d

32gb (16 x2) ddr5 kingston

amd radeon rx7800xt

2tb ssd crucial P5 Plus

windows 11 latest



character is a lv 90+ lich minion spark zealot lightning build.

graphic settings all lowered graphic effect. loot filter strict.



drivers 26.5.1 radeon.


so when i went to a game map like kriar village, it crashed 3-5 seconds straight away. repeatable.

had to load to town where it doesn't crash.


i off the game, cleared both vulcan and dx12 cache, start game. tried again, same.


so i go town, change from vulcan to directx12, then go back to kriar village, no crashes.


conclusion, something is wrong with vulcan for the latest 26.5.1 radeon graphics drivers.

Solution: change to DX12 (may or may not have to clear the cache for it first)



Suggestion: check out why vulcan is crashing and fix that.
