base map layout design

One large issue that I've had since .1 was been the size and overall layout of many maps. This was bandaid fixed with checkpoints, then bosses instead of rare completion, then even more checkpoints.
Why, with the endgame overhaul was the complexity of maps that players are forced to run not addressed? Last bumped on May 7, 2026, 10:12:04 PM

Right, this is the kind of 'overhaul' I was expecting. But it's all just the same and infinite atlas

Checkpoint placement is usually so bad that it barely changed anything, infinite atlas staying is a big disappointment too
