Hardcore Player; My Two Cents

Hi, I recently purchased the game and absolutely love it. I am a firm supporter of the hardcore game mode. I think these ARPGs can really capture some of the pen and pencil feeling, where when a character dies they are gone, and it's time to "reroll." I was playing with my friend who wants to like hardcore, but doesn't feel like Path does a good job because it's not made for it. I actually found some of his critiques legit, I have my own, and actually believe it is fixable/improvable!

1. Resurrecting fallen allies actually would be a good idea. It is fair, encourages coop play. It gives your char a fair shot at life, but obviously more players with some tougher enemies really allows for more strategy, too. I think this would benefit the game mode, and in a fair way.

2. A hall of heroes would be cool, I appreciate the character going to standard league, but another game did have a cool idea regarding this. This adds to the roleplay element, and can show the success and or downfall of a character. RIP to my homie killed by Daven, Hawke will always remember your sacrifice.

3. This is more of a game issue, but several instances you encounter are random and you get locked in an area with a boss. I came out on top most of the time, but this has lead to death. This is where my friend is right, the game isn't made with hardcore in mind. I won't say that I actually think this is bad, these types of encounters, but it's too many. Yo I helped this undead dude he's gonna go see his family! Whoops he's a boss; gotta fight him.

4. The bosses are fun, and genuinely challenging. I think an ingame bestiary, with strategies, could be a lot of fun. It would let you brace for some encounters. You could gain knowledge on bosses and monsters through conversations, dropped scrolls, etc. You could even play short videos like you do of the skills.

5. I think it would be a good idea to have different starting archtypes for each class. Like I could start as a melee focused merc or keep the ranged focus. It would allow for more diversity early on.
