For those that never played diablo 2 SSF. While offline in Diablo 2 you could type /setplayersX (1-8) and the difficulty would increase to simulate as if that many players were in your party while still being solo.
Meaning if you were to type /setplayers3 the mobs would scale as if there were 3 players in the party. The game gets more difficult but mobs would give more exp and loot. In diablo 2 the max party size was 8. of course we would have to adapt it to the max party size in PoE2 but you get the drill. This way we can increase drop rate of items at the price of making the game harder. No freebies but still have the freedom to dynamically scale the difficulty at any given time. Idk i always found this to be a very elegant solution to make SSF more enjoyable. Last bumped on May 5, 2026, 5:57:20 AM

It would be insane broken in trade league so no go there, but SSF it sounds great. |

:ast epoch fortune fraction is best gimmick for ssf. GGG need to adapt this, as blizzard adapt all sh&t from all arpg

Fair point, but SSF characters can be migrated. This would only work if they introduced a specific game mode where migration is strictly disabled
