Cannot open Mirage area after facing the dark night

I activated the mirage option for divine/echoing shrine but then continued to clear map. Entered int a Starfall crater and defeated the dark night. Attempted to enter the Mirage after but it was saying it was unable to generate the area or that it had expired. Does the mirage have a time out mechanic or is this a conflict between having both areas generated at once?
