Haven't tried yet, but don't you still open those from Dannig?

Talk to Dannig in hideout and select "Show Expedition Map", or Ctrl+Left Click Dannig.

logbooks have always been opened with dannig, not the map device

this isn't a bug.

To preface more clearly. If anyone else see's this thread.

1. Opened logbook through Dannig
2. Went to the skinned (RELIC OF THE PRECURSORS) map device
3. Unable to enter log book because of an invisible map device terrain blockage (assumption)

extra:
no, there's no HO decorations blocking the path. entering regular maps works just fine.

tldr:
new map device skin doesn't allow you to enter logbooks for whatever reason. have to switch map device skin to enter
