I got this issue after selecting a mirage option but went to clear Abyssal Depth first before going in https://imgur.com/a/7iGZdna

Map died. Can happen at any time from MAP_GEN (frame .)

I got the same problem but i was thrown out by a disconnect and then i could not complete the mirrage. Suchs pretty much as it was one of the maps with "mirrage covers the entire map" :(
