Repeated Crashing Requiring PC Restart

I have come back to play again after a few months, and my game has started doing these bizarre crashes at seemingly random times. The game will freeze, then crash. After crashing I am unable to start the game. If I restart Steam it now thinks the game is not installed, like it can't read the files. Restarting my computer fixes this until the next crash. It has happened mid map, when travelling to another player's hideout to trade, and sometimes on game startup.

I have tried the various fixed I've found online. Turned off Engine Multithreading, changing to windowed fullscreen, changing to vulcan, turning graphics settings down. None have stopped the crashing. Sometimes I can go several hours without a crash, other times it will happen repeatedly within an hour. It is making the game basically unplayable, I have no idea what to do.

Please let me know if there are any log files or similar I can post here to assist.

Update:

After the last crash the game now reliably crashes on startup even after computer restart and verifying the integrity of the game files via steam.

So this issue has randomly resolved itself with no cause identifiable.

It's nice I can play the game I purchased again, but I'm not hopeful I'll never see this bug again, and it makes the game quite literally unplayable so at least seeing some acknowledgement of this bug report sure would make me feel a bit better about this whole mess.
