Question for Shield Crush Build

So, been playing shield crush slayer for the past couple of days and noticed on poeninja that champion has a higher dps. Thinking of making the swap, but Im playing on Xbox and there's no brutal fervor forbidden flame up for trade(also kinda broke atm so probably couldn't afford it anyway) so I was curious, is that a necessary piece for the build or just a nice bonus? I don't wanna make the swap and then instantly start getting clapped
