Spectre gone when removing gem?

Hi,

I noticed that my spectres are gone when I remove the spectre gem in Uber lab.
Is this a bug or how can I avoid that the spectres are permanently gone?
Normally, I can revive them in hideout or in a map, but in the lab, they do not appear on the ground then.
