"15% increased max life if no life modifiers on equipped body armour" inconsistency

This life mastery works inconsistently :

1. The Brass Dome unique :

Has Life tag modifier and disables mastery - correct behaviour, reasonable and understable.

2. Apostate

Has "Maximum Life" modifier - but doesn't disable mastery, because doesn't have s "Life" tag. Strange, but understandable.

3. Harvest enchant

Quality does not increase defences, grants +1 life per 2% quality

Understandable if the chest has at least 2% quality. Provides life, disables mastery. Correct behaviour if quality > 2%

It turns out that even without quality this enchantment disables the mastery.
Why? Character gains absolutely no life modification with 0% quality chest and there is no "life" tag.

It seems this enchantment has either a hidden life tag or this is a bug. Tags are not shown on enchantments, so please fix it the way you want. Just give us please a clear indication so we can know beforehand.

It is not shown when looking at the item or the craft in any way in the game. Not in the horification station, it is not on the item. It absolutely should be.

This does not make sense.

To quote the Life Mastery;

15% increased maximum Life if there are no Life Modifiers on Equipped Body Armour

If the Enchantment is on the Body Armour you're wearing, then, well - it's on the Body Armour. Whether your character will functionally benefit from the presence of the modifier is neither here nor there. The Life Mastery says nothing to the effect of the required Life Modifier needing to be meaningful for your character; just that it must be "on Equipped Body Armour".

That's a binary requirement; it's true or it's false. There is no 'kind of, but also kind of not' third case.

- There is no "life" tag shown in the game for the enchantment.
- You can understand the "no Life Modifiers" wording in three ways:

First one is there is no "life" modifier on the chest. That means there is no mod that has a "life" tag which disables mastery. That is the way it works in the game.

The game checks if there is a tag.

Second possible understanding is - there is nothing with explicit word Life on the chest. Anything that would have the word "life" would disable it.

The game checks if there is a word "life"

Third way to understand it is - if something modifies your life, whether it is positive or not, than that mastery will not work. And to this point that part of my initial post was refering that you were quoting.

The game checks if your life is modified by the chest alone (if equiping it will modify your life)

- My whole point is for the game to be consistent with information it gives to the players. In the game this enchantment should have a "life" tag, whether in the horification station, on the chest or better even both.

I am not reporting it just to stir something. I am wearing a failed apostate that i bought, because someone was unaware that this enchantment would work this way. There are tons of "bricked" items, because of this.

What you want to ask is, the mastery should work even the enchant clearly have the word "life" in it

Despite in adv mod description, all enchant's mod tag is not show, they actually have mod tag

So that end up a likely fix would be the adv mod description mod start showing the mod tag for enchantment

2. Apostate

You can request to add life mod tag to the item as a bug fix, purely for activating the downside from the mastery

To be completely honest when i was buying my first apostate i was entirely convinced that this mod does have a life tag and disables the mastery. I was baffled when i saw it didn't.

Regardless, I just want clear information, not a change in the way things work.

It is debatable if apostate should or shouldn't have the life tag. Brass dome has it, but provides a ton of utility (extreme armour, 5 max res and cryt immunity) and apostate "just" a ton of life from other items. It is for ggg balance team to decide whether or not apostate is powerful enough to warrant this. Not a scope of this thread.
