Splinter distribution

New player here. Playing SSF.

I have 5815715714 of each splinters except for Runic splinters. Whats up with that GGG?

I have had the expedition quest since 1977 and still dont even have half the splinters needed. At the same time I have hundreds and hundreds of the other splinters.
