Unable to Access Trial in Nightmare Map

Was doing a Nightmare Map (Abomination) and came across a Trial (currently have the Atlas passive). I was able to see the Ascendancy Plaque (which was labeled), but the Trial portal and statue were not accessible, nor did they have a label on them. Clicking the Ascendancy Plaque gave the popup for Trial Plaque, but portal was still inactive

When I used a portal back to my hideout and came back into the map, the portal became accessible and the label for "Trial of Lingering Pain" appeared
