Suggestion for Multilingual UI Improvement
|
Dear Grinding Gear Games Team,
Thank you for your continued work on Path of Exile. I have been playing since the beta, and I continue to appreciate the depth and complexity of the game. With the introduction of the Japanese version, I recommended the game to several friends here in Japan, and they have all come to enjoy both PoE1 and PoE2 very much. I would like to share a suggestion regarding multilingual support in the UI. Personally, I find it more intuitive and immersive to play in English, especially given my long experience with the game. However, some of my friends are not comfortable with English and play in Japanese. When explaining game mechanics—particularly systems like gems, synergies, and crafting—I often need to confirm how specific terms are translated into Japanese. This creates some friction during communication. Currently, when playing in Japanese, it is possible to temporarily display English text (for example, via a key press). However, the reverse functionality does not appear to be available when playing in English. It would be very helpful if players could temporarily display other languages (such as Japanese) while playing in English, using a simple key press or toggle, without needing to change the entire language setting. Given the complexity of Path of Exile, I believe this feature would make it easier for experienced players to support new players across language barriers, and could contribute to improving accessibility for a wider audience. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, An exile finding their way through Wraeclast—and translation Last bumped on Apr 18, 2026, 10:30:46 PM
