Starting off by saying I’m loving the game and would play it regardless
Well aware its early access just wanted to share some thoughts on things I’d love to see down the line while we wait for .5 lol ------------------------------------------------------------------ Skill & Archetype Ideas - Warcry Combos: I’d love to see D2 Barbarian-style gameplay where you stack multiple cries for maximum output. The PoE 1 Gauntlet showcased this and it brought back memories. - The Frozen Orb gameplay ( more details below ) - A Multiple Shot bow skill for physical/bleed builds (Amazon style). - An "Avengers Shield" for the Templar if its not added - Vampire Archetype: A full toolkit (skills, nodes, ascendancies) inspired by the aesthetic of Ogham Manor, not just MTX. - Fel Magic: Abilities that visually and mechanically match the "necromantic green" of the Abyss. - New Shapeshift: With the focus on plant magic, a "Spriggan" or "Treant" form would be incredible. Cant remember if this was the form they scrapped but just saying hopefully just put on back burner for now. - Would love to see more visceral maps/environments like Belly of the Beast - A atlas node that reduces pack size but significantly increases the risk/reward for a different pace of play. - I'd like to see some power moved from gear back onto the Passive Tree. It currently lacks those "chase" nodes, adding Masteries would help. - Seamless transition between mouse/keyboard and controller without needing to restart or go to the main menu. - Map Rolling: An endgame mechanic to apply a "set regex" or specific modifiers to maps as a currency sink. This would streamline the process and avoid the constant alt-tabbing to check regex strings. - Inventory Space: Since PoE 2 focuses more on ground loot and picking up bases to roll, the current inventory feels a bit small. Even a dedicated currency tab in the backpack would help reduce the number of trips back to the hideout. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- D2 Frozen Orb game play: In depth Eye of Winter doesnt apply critical weakness anymore so the 10s CD is a bit absurd imo if we compare to say Comet that doesnt have a CD and hits like a truck with no setup Id like to voice that the CD is removed entirely but even something thats a little more managable would be great just not a 10s CD The current implementation of Eye of Winter feels like a massive departure from the pure frost archetype. Forcing a Sorceress to cycle through fire and lightning skills just to unlock 66% of a spell's damage, which in this case is massive and is a mechanic that belongs strictly to the Stormweaver, not every Sorceress sub-type. The synergy between Ice Nova, Ice Wall, Frostbolt, Eye of Winter, and Comet feels great. However, as I invest in my character and reach the endgame, I should be able to specialize. If I want to drop the Frostbolt setup and focus on raw damage from Eye of Winter or Comet ( no coc ) I should be able to. Having to juggle marks, curses, and buffs is already a lot of upkeep Being reqired to reliably rotate different elements just to get a payoff on a 10-second cooldown creates a total disconnect from the frost fantasy. It stops being about mastery of ice and starts feeling like a chore that breaks immersion. Compare this with the Frost Wolf. That class is a masterclass in combo execution. The flow feels natural and the immersion never breaks. Kudos to everyone who made that class. I’m hoping the Sorceress can move in that same direction where combos feel like a choice for synergy, not a mandatory elemental checklist that ruins the specific elemental theme I’m building toward. " Theese are the ideas i really like in your propositions. Would be nice to have them in the game! I'm also a little frustrated overall with infusions. I prefere to specialise me in one type of damage usualy for a nice thematic but i feel like i'm missing on damage and i should use other element even if i dont want to. I understand it's better for people who liked to mix them and couldnt much before, but than there is the others like us who got left behind =) Now i'm not too deep into the pure intelect archetype, so i'm still trying to learn. The frost wolf is indeed in my opinion the best combo in the game by far. Everything feel natural and intuitiv, wish it was more the base for other skills combo but also make me confident for the futur skills. SSF-HCSSF player

Two more additions i forgot to add
I love frost builds so - winter orb from poe 1 was my favorite ability Would love to see it implemented in poe 2 First thing that came to mind was Transfigured gems Frost Dart would fit. - shattering concoction was extremely fun on release. Concoctions were nerfed to the ground. Needs some love. Last edited by Sheldon_ballantyne#2597 on Apr 18, 2026, 11:19:36 PM
