2nd pilfering ring bugged

I just started SSF and wanted a seperate pilfering ring to track things there. Bought it and equipped it, but it seems super bugged. I just reached act 3, but it doesnt track any orbs. I have picked up several augs / trans and a couple regals / chaos orbs, all from monsters picked up from the ground.

I've tried unequipping / equipping, restarting and so on - anybody got an idea how to fix?

Apparently exalted orbs work (took me awhile because I had them disabled in filter lol)
