As far as I know, there arent a lot of cases of boss drops becoming world drops though, are there?

It’s pretty likely that the boss is going core along with its drops and the bloodline. It wouldn’t make much sense for the developers to build out a full boss fight, bloodline, and exclusive item drops, only to keep a small piece of it for the core game and remove the rest.

How we’ll access the boss in future leagues is something we’ll figure out next league. Either they keep Mirage as-is and nothing really changes with how you enter the fight, or the Mirage enemy that drops the invitation simply goes core and starts appearing randomly in maps.
