Inquiry About Upcoming 0.5 Announcements

Hi,

I wanted to bring up something that I think quite a few players might be wondering about right now.

There was previously an indication that an announcement would be coming towards the end of April. Now that we’re already halfway through the month, there’s still been no teaser, no follow-up, or any kind of update.

Totally understand that plans can change — that’s normal. But the complete silence is what makes it a bit confusing from a player perspective.

At this point, I think many of us aren’t even looking for full details, just a simple clarification:

* Is everything still on track?
* Or has the timeline shifted?

Even a short confirmation would go a long way in setting expectations and avoiding unnecessary speculation within the community.

Would really appreciate any clarification when possible.

Just hoping for a bit more clarity so we can plan ahead.

It's expected tomorrow (in ~19 hours).

If there is to be any information, it should be available within 12 hours, there was always some information around Thursday, if not, then there is hope for next week

It would not suprise me if dates slipped past the end of the month. With D4 paid update coming soon there could be a gentleman’s agreement and or collusion to stay away from that release. Just tinfoil hat point of view

Not sure about collusion, but companies definitely pay attention to each other’s release windows

They could at least share something simple
Like some concept art of what is coming in 0.5 or a single unique item preview
Or just say they are excited to talk about 0.5 and that we should get ready

It has been over two months of silence and the community is just looking for some communication we do not need everything right now just a sign that things are moving

When GGG started out and had open-beta (I was not fortunate enough to be in closed-beta) one of the things that stood out from ANY other development team was the interaction from the top to the masses.

They answered questions, and provided insight towards what was coming.

I noticed a pattern: EVERY single word they said was dissected and usually met with more criticism than enjoyment as the years went on, usually from the LOUD minority.

I am not saying Jonathan or Mark are doing a bad job, not at all. This game has grown way beyond an indie attempt and is the standard for all ARPG's (in my heavily biased opinion...yes I have played many others but keep coming back).

We don't have what we used to have, and probably won't ever again. They will feed us crumbs when they want too, not because they have to anymore.

I am awaiting the second coming of Christ and Bex...in that order but damn it's close. :)
