Path of Exile Ascendancy is released in 2016. The Labyrinth is a rogue-like dungeon with new Uniques (borrowing from Ascendancy Passive Nodes). There are no Ascendancies, the classless origin of PoE1 stays the same (No powercreep and easier to balance).

Over the next 5 years new league content is released. When the content goes core, it is confined to new rogue-like dungeons with new Uniques. The keys/invitations are RNG drops in maps. Extra content can only be found in the corresponding rogue-like dungeon.

Path of Exile Echoes of the Atlas is released in 2021. The Maven is the new NPC for hosting PVP matches, raids and MMO instances. Possibly having subsequent leagues structured around MOBA, tower defence games and other MMO content.
