Conversations about options > player power/speed/loot

PoE isn't special because it allows you to clear screens and move fast. A lot of games already do that. It's special because of the amount of options/pathways it gives you to achieve that goal. It's the giant skill tree, the amount of uniques and skill/support gems and their mechanics, crafting, the number of ways each different thing can be leveraged, and so on.

If they announced a new class, would you be happy if it was strong, but offered minimal new ways to play the game or build your character? It might be fun at first, but that amount of fun will have very poor sustain. I think PoE2's bigger issue is how limited it can feel, but a lot of feedback ends up being about is how strong things are.
