Double progress in Exarch T16 but no invitations

SO I am mostly trying to farm Exarch, but I am noticing that every map I complete gives me 2 maps credit on the progress indicator. I do not know if this is connected, but I get new altars in the Mirage and it does not carry over the effects from outside the mirage of the exarch altars inside the mirage but instead starts over with a new set of altar rewards. Could the Mirage be affecting the completion counters and (seeing that I am currently at 24) would that be a glitch and I will drop the miniboss at 28 and the exarch invite the next time I hit 28? That is the only thing I can think that might be happening. Love to hear if anyone else is noticing that or is it just me?

Edit: I checked and I am getting one completion after killing the map boss, and another when finishing the mirage. Also, upon reaching 28 completions, there was no Exarch or Black Star invitation at all, but the Exarch Invitation dropped once I killed the boss in the next map. Not sure if this is a first time glitch, but I am running with the Originator and Eldritch Voidstones, using a T16 Mesa map to run it, not doing shaped region at all right now, but ran one earlier.
