Genesis Tree Bugged from Tutorial Quests?

This is my first playthrough with the Genesis Tree being available.

I got the intro quest early in Act 6 and unlocked going to the Monastery. I turned in a total of 3 body parts to Ailith next to the tree over Acts 6 and 7 (and when I do, they she tanks me and the item leaves my inventory), and I've accumulated a small amount of hiveblood (172).

However, the Genesis Tree seems completely unusable. I click on it to open the passive tree, but I have no passives to apply. There are 4 big "Womb" nodes (Mysterious Item Womb, etc.) but when I click on them, the screen darkens and I'm only presented with a Red X as an option.

I think this is a bug, but I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like. Am I supposed to be able to choose some items to put in the Womb nodes? Should I still have those body parts available?

I'm still on the intro quest "Into the Breach" (Optional) with an objective of "Grow a Wombgift on the Genesis Tree", but I also have the "Gifts for the Genesis Tree" quest open as well.
