Trading via a guild stash in SSF
|
On the POE SSF wiki (https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Solo_Self-Found) it is noted that:
"Trading and Currency Exchange Market is disabled" "Guild stash is disabled" Chris Wilson (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1823776) notes that: "In these SSF leagues, you can't trade or party with other players. These leagues have their own stashes, master progression, Atlas progress, etc. Multiple characters in the same SSF league on your account can share items via the stash. This is progress that you have earned alone, without help from other players." I see in another forum (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2679775) that: "Once you become a trusted member of our guild, you will gain access to our exclusive guild hideout and be able to use and share items with your fellow members through the HCSSF guild stash. This works even in HCSSF as long as all online members share the same league and instance." Trading via the guild stash in SSF would seem to be counter to Chris' original intention for this variation of the game, and challenges the integrity of SSF, in my view. My question is: Is trading via the guild stash permitted in SSF or is this a bug/exploit? Last bumped on Mar 31, 2026, 4:53:08 AM

My guild does not have a Guild Stash in any of the SSF leagues.

Just as further confirmation of @xjjanie's response, to my recollection the guild stash has never appeared in any SSF league. Any suggestion that SSF players can share a guild stash is incorrect. You also cannot use it by yourself, because it is simply not there.
I started playing in early 2014 during the Domination and Nemesis leagues. I still have some SSF characters that are 9 years old, from Legacy League 2.6.0 when SSF was introduced. You can access a Guild Hideout, but you cannot trade items or party with any other player. There is no access to a Guild Stash in SSF. You will only have access to NPCs that you have unlocked (including standalone mechanic stashes that you previously unlocked, such as those for Heist, Expedition, and the Harvest crafting bench). There is no access to the Currency Exchange, to any of your Merchant Tabs, or to asynchronous trading with anyone else. Note that any tabs you have converted to Merchant Tabs will also become unavailable as regular tabs in any SSF league, just like in trade leagues. There is still technically a "Public Parties" Noticeboard in towns, but it cannot be used and you cannot join a party this way, by interacting with another player, or by using chat commands. Other players cannot share your instance in SSF, other than towns and your guild hideout. You are not even allowed to visit a friend's hideout in SSF leagues. You can still link items in chat. The one place where you can interact with another player in SSF is in PVP arenas, but you will still be unable to drop any items in these areas. Back when we were able to make so-called "PVP-only" template characters, if that character was created in a non-SSF league it had access to the guild stash. PVP-only characters could travel from the "PVP Staging Area" to access both your personal and guild hideouts. You can migrate items from SSF to the related trade league (either on a single character or by migrating your entire league state, including its stash), but not in the other direction. (edit because I forgot to mention async trade) Last edited by Pehr#3739 on Mar 30, 2026, 11:02:27 PM

Thanks for your feedback.
I started playing in Nemesis league and have a reasonably good grasp of the game mechanics. This is not the first time this topic has be brought up in the forums - see for example: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3259374 The HCSSF guild are claiming an ability to trade/exchange item in SSF. It is conceivable that the emphasis on the guild stash in the post above is misdirection. This nine year youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzBZYIinzzc (which I believe pre-dates the official release of SSF) appears to show how an item drop can be forced in town via an interaction with a guild guild master and doesn’t directly involve the guild stash. I presume that this very old bug has been patched out, but something similar may exist. |

Apparently items in POE do have a unique ID, so I imagine that it wouldn’t be impossible for GGG to determine if an SSF item was moving between accounts.
