Scarabs deleted inside map device

Upon completing Originator Voidstone and adding the first Astrolabe with Eagon I went to run a map and all my scarabs that were in the map device were gone. They were not in the tab that's in the map device, my fragments tab, nor my inventory.

If you have Scarabs in the map device and try opening an area where they can't be used, such as unique maps or boss fights, the scarabs are moved to your inventory; if your inventory is full, they'll move to the map device storage, or they'll just stay in place if the map device storage is also full.

An alternative case exists, though: were you aware that the Map Device's contents (not the map device storage box) are character specific?

If you changed characters to do the Incarnation of Dread fight, try checking the map device contents for your other Mirage characters.

I just ran into the same issue, I ran a unique map and afterwards all of my scarabs disappeared, I checked every where, rip my ambush scarabs.
