Can't get Faustus in SC hideout after HC death

I went to SC on an endgame char and can't get Faustus to appear in my hideout after talking to him in A6, Kingsmarch, and Epilogue.

He randomly appeared after I came back from making a trade; didn't happen on the first several trades
