Widowhai 271% Volatile Vaal - Max 250% on Reliquarian

EDIT: Not a Bug. I did MORE calculation instead of INCREASED and numbers just happened to line up to look like a bug. Can be closed.

Self corrupted a Widowhail bow to 271% Reliquarian. Using a corrupted Rearguard. I have Widowhail ascendancy point allocated for 75% quiver bonus.

Numbers I get vs Numbers I should have.

Numbers I get from the combo from a Rearguard with 2 stats:
-11% Suppress spell damage (corrupted implicit)
-15% Block Spell damage

I get 49% Suppress Spell Damage and 66% Block Spell damage

Assuming 250% Widowhail and not a corrupted 271% like I have, this is:

2.5 X 1.75 X 11 = 48.125 so 49
2.5 X 1.75 X 15 = 65.625 so 66

These match my in game numbers as if I had a 250% widowhail, which I do not

With the 271% widowhail I should have:

2.71 X 1.75 X 11 = 52.1675
2.71 X 1.75 X 15 = 71.1375

I DO NOT have the expected numbers in game and the volatile vaal orb corruption on Widowhail interacting with Reliquarian and Rearguard in some combination is broken and not working.

Assuming 250% Widowhail and not a corrupted 271% like I have, this is:

2.5 X 1.75 X 11 = 48.125 so 49
2.5 X 1.75 X 15 = 65.625 so 66

This is how it'd work if Widowhail and the Reliquarian ascendancy granted "% more bonuses from equipped quiver", but they actually grant "% increased bonuses from equippeed quiver".

Because they're "% increased" modifiers to the same stat, they combine additively, not multiplicatively.

(1 + 2.71 + 0.75) * 11 = 49.06 rounded down to 49
(1 + 2.71 + 0.75) * 15 = 66.9 rounded down to 66
your math is off...

please use POB first before making reports like this.

with a 271% widowhail and rearguard with the rolls you stated... you should have 66 spell block and 49% suppress... just like you have in game
I was looking at it again, and I realized that it just happened to line up with the 250% and the Quiver and the Bow both say INCREASED so they are additive.

So the math is correct and not bugged. The correct math and what I have in game, works out like this:

Using 15% Block spell damage:
- (2.71 X 15) + (1.75 X 15) = 66.9 Block Spell damage

Both Widowhail bow and Widowhail ascendency are INCREASED and are additive. Just a random coincidence in numbers that looked confusing and I used the more instead of increased to calculate.

Not a bug. Can be closed.
