Vaal righteous fire bug

This is a very strange bug that I am having and it is totally replicable. I have a level 19 righteous fire gem that functions 100% as you would expect. I then found a Vaal righteous fire gem and began to level it up so now it is also level 19. I went to swap the gems but I am unable to activate the vaal’s normal righteous fire except in 1 very specific circumstance – the vaal righteous fire still charges and can be activated normally. So because it didn’t work in my 6 link chest I moved it around to see what I could find out…… And it will automatically activate if it is in a specific slot on my weapon but no where else… when placed into slot 3 of any sceptre it immediately activates without selecting the spell but not slot 1 or 2. But also wont work in the helm chest gloves or boots. look forward to some help Last bumped on Mar 28, 2026, 3:23:03 AM

Have you turn off your normal RF from the normal gem, and then unsocket it, and replace with the the vaal gem and then activate the normal RF?
