Skin Transfers Do Not Work

Skin transfers do not work for me, except for boots on my gloves for some reason.

When attempting to skin transfer it says no target item found or wrong base item type.

As discussed in earlier thread today, have you first unequipped the item that you wish to receive the transfer?

There are some minor exceptions (some recent changes such as applying quality), but it is common in POE that an item cannot be changed while it is equipped.

I have not tried that, but it has not been an issue in the past using them on equipped items if I am remembering correctly.

Admittedly, in Chris' original (very old) video for the Skin Transfer mtx he applied it directly to an equipped body armour.

I don't know if it might relate to the item fulfilling any stat requirements that could be removed briefly as the item is changed to apply the skin transfer mtx (where items are changed while equipped, they are usually technically unequipped and re-equipped).
