Abyssal Socket vanishes for the second time after correctly recombinating

Dear GGG,

i got hit by a very weird bug for the second time.

Background:

I tried to recombinate/transfer an abyssal socket to another base, while also raising the itemlevel of the base so i could use it/transfer it on the actual item i want.

While i can only provide a picture of my first failed item, I can with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY tell you, how the items looked like, when i was hit by said bug for the second time.

Second time bug occurance:

Base 1:
ilvl 100 Sage slippers.
Hit it with a couple of screaming essence of rage until 4 mod (2 prefix, 2 suffix)
went to menagerie to split said pair, because the ilvl was great (100) and i had odds of getting solo suffix strength.
Split "failed" meaning i got double suffix, strength and i BELIEVE int?
Anyway i hit the annul and got 1 mod sage slippers. I crafted mana on them.

Base 2:
The other pair i got was carnal boots ilvl 74. It came with two suffix and two prefix. i lesser eldritch ember it and slammed it with eldritch annul. Then i went to the menagerie and split them in order to single out the abyssal socket.
in order to lower recombination costs, i hit it with an aug.

i went to the recombinator and quadruple checked since i alrdy lost an abyssal socket via recombination and i want to make sure that i did not do ANY mistakes. Well i didnt. It bugged out and deleted the abyssal socket again.

Out of curiousity i slammed jewellers on the bricked/bugged boots in order to find out if they can even get 4 sockets, which they could.

Anyway here are two screenshots of the bricked boots i got from recombinating validly. Both boots have 0 suffixes and only prefixes, which makes partly sense (cause attribute couldn't get rolled on the base) and partly it doesn't (abyssal socket MUST HAVE BEEN on the base after recombinating since it was the only valid mod that could have been chosen by the recombinator.

These are the resulting boots of the above described recombination. As it should be obvious, (int base with only t3 strength essence as suffix and a dex/int hybrid base with only an abyssal socket as suffix, shouldn't have bricked. Yet they did.

These are the first time that the recombinator ate my abyssal socket. Sadly i cannot recall which boots i inserted. However 0 suffixes is a clear indicator i think.

Is it a known issue?
Any idea what caused it?


When it first happened to me (armour boots) i assumed its something very rare similar to the chances of getting a abyss socket on an item without the item having an abyss socket as a suffix.
