Apostate + Increased defense from equiped shield bug

Node from atlas leading to command of steel (50% increased defense from equiped shield) seems to not work when the apostate is equiped.
Apostate is supposed to transform ES from armour into life. Don't know if armour include shield, but anyway, neither life nor ES are increased when i take this node. (if I unequip Apostate shield goes up) Last bumped on Mar 25, 2026, 2:28:15 PM

Apostate only takes into account base values and local modifiers. It doesn't use global modifiers like those from passives. However, since life is gained instead of ES, ES is counted as 0, and the "50% increased defense from equipped shield" passive provides no benefit.
