PoE Bestiary (in-game codex of all monsters)
|
I know it was suggested before, but I kinda want to push it some more.
A detailed description of all the monsters, their stats and abilities. From white mobs to pinnacle bosses. If it leaves a pile of shit on the ground, I wanna know what kind of shit it is. If it blows up, I wanna know how hard. And if it casts some weird debuff on me, I wanna know wtf is it. And so on. I also wanna see monster models in detail, cause I have no time for this during the play. But I kinda want to know how they look up close and not from the bird's eye view. Maybe it's just me. Anyhow, to make it more interesting, the bestiary should be empty at the beginning. But the more particular monsters you kill, the more info you unlock. You could literally see progress bars filling to know when you gonna learn another piece of information. Same with abilities and mods: you'll have to witness them several times to "learn" detailed info. Consider it a challenge of sorts, but also a useful tool. I would also want ability to select any monster on screen during pause (or death screen) and access their bestiary page right there and then. I doubt many veterans gonna do it, but it can be immensely helpful for new-ish players. And yeah, there's PoEDB and all, but I feel like we need more stuff like this in-game. The way campaign should be played by your second and any subsequent characters: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3772827 Last bumped on Mar 24, 2026, 10:16:36 AM

+1
One area of PoE2 that should be embraced more is the lore. I like the idea of gathering information as you encounter monsters, including background description along with monster stats. Last edited by CharlesJT#7681 on Mar 24, 2026, 10:19:47 AM
