Realmgate pausing disabled during 9 second lag spike.

I play solo play 99% of the time because-
1. I get 200 ping playing with friends around the globe
2. My internet is bad, every time a wifi camera turns on my internet takes a hit

I get latency spikes that last 9 seconds long, It also seems like when I first started playing it wasn't as bad but gradually became longer.

I found out I can just pause instantly when the game freezes, and wait for my latency to go back to baseline to unpause.

But anyways, in the realmgate if I pause during a lag spike, when the lag is finished, i'm dead. I can't pause through the lag, pause is disabled in realmgate.

I think this is to prevent players from cheating by leaving to main menu if they are about to die? I'm not sure what else.

Maybe there could be a work around, or enable pausing?

anybody know why pausing is disabled?
