Character to Map/Hideout Load Times

I run POE2 on a desktop that runs at 5070 with 32gig of RAM. When i go from the Character selection screen to a map or hideout when first logging in, it takes upwards of a minute to load.

I also run POE2 on a laptop. Not as good a spec but still very respectable. When i perform the same loading process it takes less than 5 seconds.

Clearly something is wrong with the desktop loading process but research has found nothing. Once in the game is fine and i hit an easy 120 fps.

Does anyone have an ideas why this might be the case.

I had this issue. Updating my GPU drivers fixed it.
