If you open a map with breaches and then change character, the breaches no longer gives hiveblood

As topic clearly says.

I opened a map with a character, died and decided to do the map on my other, more geared character.. But the 3 breaches I then completed inside of the map, did not give any hiveblood what so ever..
Nothing was shown above my char in map, and for good measure I also went into HO to check my blood pre and post the 3rd breach. No change what so ever..

So my conclusion was, that only the character that openend the map gets the credit for completing breaches?

If so, maybe make it account wide, not character bound..
