Since the recent patch portals acting unresponsive on first click

My in map portal or mirage portal seem to be unresponsive if the first click is made while in grace period? Makes going to and from the mirage really clunky and i keep getting killed thinking i've left the map and coming back to death screen.

edit: I am using the astral portal MTX and small variant of incarcerator portal device.
