Reflected Ailment not mitigated
|
My templar is immune to shock and chill. This is achieved through the skill points Illuminated Devotion and Anointed Flesh + adjacent notes. However, when I do an Eater of Worlds influenced map and select the mod that reflects non-damaging ailments, my character gets so chilled that the map is bricked. The debuff on top-left of my screen shows 0% chill and 0% frozen but im very much chilled. Noting else in the game chill, freezes or shocks me so I wonder if this is intended.

Being 100% reduced effect is not the same as being immune. You are technically immune to any normal ailment, but once increased ailment effect comes into play (either via your own reflected or giving the enemies boosted ailment effect), then you need more than 100% to become immune again.
Same with pre-3.28 reflect. People would need more than 100% reflect mitigation if they had sources of increased damage taken. Thankfully that was changed so now 100% is 100% reflect immune, but who knows if the reduced effect 100% will get changed as well. Chill immunity is "easy" to get via crafted MS on boots with 100% chance to avoid being chilled. Shock avoidance is trickier with essence boot + implicit, jewels, etc. But if you're going that route might as well go Stormshroud and be actually immune to ailments. Which kinda makes those points and portion of ascendancy relatively weak in modern PoE. The 0% does sound bugged though, but I haven't ran a reduced effect build in some time. Are you sure there aren't other ailments and it is only chill and freeze on you? There are other debuffs that can slow action speed but are not standard ailments. |
