Cant use portal in map after defeating the boss

After defeating a boss in courtyard map that was maven witnessed with destructive play I used the ingame hotkey to place a portal. The portal did not play its usual summoning animation and just popped up next to me and was not interactable. Before entering the arena I placed a portal down and it was playing its animation as I entered the boss arena. The portal effect used was Delve Core Portal effect.

If you created a portal but it is not interactable (or has an odd name), usually that means your hideout instance crashed so there's no where for your portal to return to. Thus logging out and creating a new instance by joining your hideout from town is the only way.
