Containment Scarab isn't containing

I am running a pretty standard containment strategy (1 of each ambush scarab, with a scarab/ambush/exarch atlas tree, on dunes). In one of these maps, that has containment, the map seems to have many monsters spawning outside of the strongboxes.
When I say many mobs, I mean hundreds, or maybe even thousands of mobs, outside of the strongboxes. There are so many mobs that my computer was struggling to run the map, which is an anomaly for me. Every inch of the map was covered in mobs, including inside the mirage. I understand that sometimes there are special mobs, or Exarch spawned creatures that spawn outside of the containment boxes. This felt and looked more like every box in the map had been pre-opened and dumped all their mobs onto the map at once, without actually being opened. With Containment applied to the map, there should be very few if any mobs on the map, let alone the most mobs i've seen on a map in my life. So the steps I took prior to this are the following. 1. Bought a T16 Map with Mirage covers the entire map 2. Applied an alchemy orb to this map > exalted to 6 mods 3. Attempted to apply an astrolabe (which I hadn't attempted yet), which failed to apply due to me not meeting the requirements 4. Put the map into the map device with 1 of each ambush scarab 5. Opened map, and jumped in. 6. Loading the map took an abnormally long time to load 7. Upon entering the map, my character was already surrounded by mobs, and the moment I moved my character was almost instantly 1-shot before I could get an attack off. If you need my PC specs, I can send those your way as well, but this seems more like a game/server issue than an issue with my PC. Let me know if you need any more information. " Caused by Invasive Adversaries passive on atlas tree. There's some pack that spawns that overflows the strongboxes so you essentially clear the map 2-3x as much. Has been bugged and reported several times since the passive was added in 3.24, no fix yet. If you don't like the overflow, only suggestion is to remove that one passive. If your PC/build can handle it, it's more loot technically. |
